Washington Street is currently prayerfully searching for a new Youth Minister. We are looking for a Godly man to lead our active and vibrant youth ministry and be a mentor to an amazing group of young people. Jim has served as our preaching minister since 2001. He is originally from Chattanooga, TN and is a graduate of Lipscomb University. Before coming to Fayetteville, he served as a Youth & Family Minister at the Brainerd church of Christ in Chattanooga. In addition to his work here, he also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Riverside Christian Academy where he teaches the Senior Bible class one hour a day. He and his wife, Celeste, have four very active boys.
Having two young boys, Terry has been active in our Children's ministry for many years. She officially began her work on staff as the Director of Children's Programs in December of 2015. She is married to Adam Smith, who also serves as one of our deacons. Terry continues the work organizing children's activities, overseeing Sunday School classes for grades K-5th grade and coordinating various activities designed to help parents raise their children "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."
Donna Simms is our full-time Church Secretary and began her work with us in 2016. She manages the responsibilities of the office to serve the needs of our church family. She is married to Doug and they have two teens who are actively involved in our Youth Group.
Grant has managed our church's facilities since 2001, including our building and campus as well as our vehicles which see regular use. He and his wife, Charlotte, have two grown daughters and have been a part of our church family for over 17 years.
Ava has provided custodial services for our facilities since 2015. She has also been a member of our church family since that time. She works tirelessly to provide a clean and safe environment for all who come through our doors and especially to give a great "first impression" for visitors to our services.
